Incorporated Societies Act 2022

This is a new act replacing the previous Act of 1908.

How it affects our society

We must either re-register our Society before 5th April 2026 or disband the Society. To re-register requires a new constitution with some changes. A new constitution must be written and approved by the membership at a General Meeting. The Committee would like to have the new constitution approved at the AGM to be held on April 27th 2025.

What should you do?

Read the constitution and if you see the need for any changes please advise the President or Vice-President as soon as you can using our contact details as given at the bottom of this page.

Be prepared to vote to adopt the constitution at the upcoming AGM.
